Leicester Riders captain Roderick Wellington is back for a second season with the club. Wellington averaged over 11 points for the Riders last season and has won seven caps for England. "I'm glad to be back with the team and am hoping we can get back to winning ways," the 30-year-old said. "We have a good unit here and have the opportunity to do some exciting things, we are planning to play an up-tempo brand of basketball." Riders coach Rob Paternostro said he was delighted to have Wellington as part of his squad again. "Rod brings a lot of experience to the squad, he's a really versatile player who offers many different options to the team." Riders get their pre-season matches underway this weekend as they host a four-team tournament.
