Plymouth Raiders have added the first new face to their squad for the upcoming season in the form of Irish forward Patrick Fitzpatrick. The 29-year-old joins the British Basketball League club as a free agent after spending last season with Cork's Neptune club in the Irish Superleague. He averaged 14 points per game with a 52% field goal average. "It's an incredible opportunity. The BBL is an exciting league with great players," Fitzpatrick said. "I'm ready to bring the full package and make the championship ours," added the forward, who holds American and Irish dual nationality. "Hopefully he's going to be a good addition for us and will make some significant contributions from the bench. He's a small forward so will be coming in as a back-up to DeAntoine [Beasley]. It will be good to have him on board," said head coach Gary Stronach.
