The Raiders have been seeded for the upcoming BBL Cup |
Plymouth Raiders will be one of four teams to be seeded for next season's British Basketball League Cup. Plymouth will be given a bye into the final eight along with the Newcastle Eagles, Guildford Heat and Milton Keynes Lions. It is the first time that seeding has been introduced in the competition and is part of the league's attempt to revamp the Cup. Raiders have been seeded in the same half of the draw as the Guildford Heat. The new BBL Championship season begins on 26 September. Birmingham Panthers have had their franchise withdrawn for the forthcoming season, but the addition of Worthing Thunder means the BBL will remain a 12-team league.
