Coach Gary Stronach is thrilled with his new deal

Plymouth Raiders coach Gary Stronach has agreed a one-year extension to his contract with the club.

Stronach, who was signed from Sunderland 23 years ago, will now spend his 24th year with the Raiders where he has been a player, director and coach.

"I'm Raiders through and through," said Stronach. "I love the club.

"I'm more excited than anyone that I'll be back next year. We've had a great couple of years, but there's lots more of that to come. I'm sure of it."

He added: "We've still got a long way to go before basketball and the Raiders get to where we need to be, and it's my job to help the team get there."

Stronach is due to sign his contract just before the start of the Milton Keynes home game on Wednesday.
