Durham extends stay with Raiders

Terence Durham
Durham has also played in France and Portugal

Plymouth Raiders' 31-year-old centre Terrence Durham has re-signed for the club for the 2008/09 season.

The 6ft 9in American joined the Raiders for a second spell at the beginning of last season after playing in France.

He was second in the British Basketball League for rebounding despite suffering a knee injury and a broken hand.

"I'm very excited about the chance to play for Plymouth for another season," said Durham, who helped the side win the English League in 2001 and 2004.

"I'm delighted to make Terrence the team's first signing," said head coach Gary Stronach.

"We know exactly what he brings to the table for us, and I still think there's a couple of areas that I can help Terrence to improve on, as does Terrence himself.

"I know the fans will be delighted to have him back, after much speculation over the last couple of weeks about him leaving to join other teams."
