Michael Martin's 25 points, 10 of them in the last quarter, helped Guildford Heat beat the Everton Tigers and qualify for the BBL Play-off finals. The second-seeded Heat had trailed 56-57 at the end of three quarters against the sixth seeds. But Martin's late burst, allied to a haul of 21 points from Daniel Gilbert, took Guildford to the semi-finals. Calvin Davis scored 15 points for Everton and Great Britain international Richard Midgley added 14. In the semi-final, the Heat will face Plymouth Raiders, who beat Sheffield 91-73 on Saturday. It will be the Raiders' first appearance in the play-off finals. League champions Newcastle, who are seeking a fourth play-offs title in a row, will face another team making their finals debut, Milton Keynes.
