Everton Tigers head for Guildford Heat on Sunday looking for the victory that would put them in the BBL Championship play-off semi-finals. The Tigers go into the game with the psychological advantage of having already twice beaten Guildford in the league this season. Tigers coach Henry Mooney said: "It was always our goal to make the play-offs. "Now we want to go further and get to the final four. We need to get the guys rested up ready for Sunday." Mooney believes his side are capable of beating anyone at this stage of the season as the play-offs are a lottery. | All the guys are up for this big time |
But the chance of pitting their wits against the best teams in the county in Birmingham next weekend in the semi-finals is a big draw for his team. And the Everton coach knows how close they are to glory. "If we win the next three games we would be national champions," Mooney continued. "But we've go to win on Sunday to get a third of the way there. All the guys are up for this big time. "It's a long trip down to Guildford. But, if we want to win the title, you've got to beat the teams above you. "Guildford are one of them and I'm sure we can do it."
