Newcastle Eagles forward Charles Smith has warned his team-mates to be at their best for their play-off quarter final with Worcester Wolves.
"Play-offs are huge because they're one-off games and we showed throughout the season anyone can win on the night," he told BBC Radio Newcastle.
"Worcester have got the top two scorers in the league so we are really going to have to come out and play defence.
"We've really got to cut down on their opportunities to score."
Sunday's 95-84 win against Sheffield Sharks saw Smith return to action for the league champions after a knee-injury looked to have ended his season.
"It's great to be back especially in time for the play-offs," he said.
"Tonight it was just a chance for me to get a feel for game situations. Overall I think I did okay and I feel alright after the game so hopefully I can take that into next weekend."
