Finch impressed by British energy

Finch hopes to take the form over into the next two games
Great Britain head coach Chris Finch praised his team for their energy in defeating group leaders Holland 63-39 in the European qualifier in Edinburgh.

"We got a great effort, certainly in the energy category," he said. "Andrew Sullivan and Julius Joseph scored well and rebounded well."

Finch was pleased with the positive response to the defeat in Slovakia.

"The guys that were hampered by foul trouble in Slovakia came through," he added. "We knew they would."

Great Britain's defensive effort was the key to the victory and drew praise from Holland coach Marco Van Den Berg.

"I was impressed, especially by their help defence," he said.

"Also in terms of aggressiveness in fighting for the loose balls, I thought they were by far the better team. They deserved to win."

Finch is now turning his attention to the two remaining qualifying games - away to Albania and at home to Belarus - in the next week.

"We've got a tough week- I like the way that our schedule has fallen, but we just have to take advantage of it," he said.
