Cann has only recently returned to competition from a foot injury

Jersey's Elizabeth Cann crashed out of the women's singles in the the first round at the All-England Championships in Birmingham.

Cann went down in straight games to Bulgaria's Petya Nedelcheva, losing 21-7 21-10.

Jersey's Mariana Agathangelou fared little better in the doubles with Heather Olver, the pair also going out in the round of 32.

They lost to Thailand's Savitree Amitapai and Somsri Nessara.
