Defending champion Elizabeth Cann is out of the Bank of Scotland International Badminton Championships in Glasgow. Cann, who was bidding to reach the final for the third year in a row, lost 2-0 to the unseeded Jeanine Cicognini from Switzerland. Cicognini won both games comfortably, taking the first 21-15, before closing out the match 21-14 in the second. Cann has been crowned Jersey's national badminton champion three times.
