Guernsey's Commonwealth Games Association chairman Peter Sirett says the island's team are well prepared for whatever awaits them in India. Concerns have been raised about how ready the hosts and the facilities will be for the event starting on 3 October. Sirett has said the island's team's preparations are going well and that everything was on schedule. He added: "With the impetus put into this by the India government it will succeed." Guernsey is planning to take its largest ever team to the event with more than 40 athletes participating in nine sports.
