The SuperStock championship is due to come to Penzance in May

Penzance has been pencilled in as one of the host venues for the 2010 Powerboat P1 SuperStock Championship.

The provisional race calendar has six venues across Europe, with Penzance selected to hold Round Two in May.

The SuperStock Championship will hold its inaugural race in Split, Croatia on 16-18 April.

Championship director Andy Hindley said: "The early signs for the series are fantastic and in just 10 weeks, we have organised the calendar."

"Racing outside of the championship's conventional UK and Irish shores, illustrates our huge ambition for the series," Hindley added.

SuperStock 2010 Provisional Calendar:

1. Split, Croatia - 16, 17, 18 April

2 Penzance, England - 21, 22, 23 May

3 Galway, Ireland - 5, 6, 7 June

4 Pwllheli, Wales - 9, 10, 11 July

5 Sweden - 6, 7, 8 August

6 South Coast, England - 10,11, 12 September
