Ross rowing club had three finalists in the National Championships

Ross Rowing Club's Ed Surman, 14, finished fourth in his sculling event in the national championships in Nottingham.

He was one of three Ross finalists and Junior Coach Robin Fletcher said this underlined the club's recent progress.

"Last year we only took two crews along, but this year we took six crews with three making it into the finals.

"I would like to think that next year Ross would pick up some medals," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
