British duo Nick Robinson-Baker and Ben Swain beat the Olympic champions to take gold in their event at the British Diving Championships in Manchester. The City of Sheffield duo won the 3m synchro event by more than 50 points from 2004 Athens champions Thomas Bimis and Alexandros Manos from Greece.
They will try to qualify for the 2008 Games at February's World Cup.
"That's our best result to date. The future looks good with a very big year ahead of us," said Swain.

Robinson-Baker was delighted with their score of 413.13, especially as a toe injury disrupted training.
"Our preparation hasn't been perfect because of my injury so to get that score off the back of that is impressive and we're really pleased," he said.
"This event was designed to boost our confidence but it's exciting because a score like that next month will put us right into contention for Olympic qualification."
Olympic hopefuls Sarah Barrow and Monique McCarroll took the honours in the women's 10m Synchro with a score of 314.10.
