Olympic silver medallists Leon Taylor and Peter Waterfield claimed the synchronised 10m platform title at the British Diving Championships. The pair have not competed together recently because of a shoulder injury to Taylor.
But in their first competition of 2006, they earned an impressive 449.88 points from their six dives in Manchester.
Callum Johnstone (Leeds) and Gary Hunt (Southampton) were second, Tom Owens and Gareth Jones (Southampton) third.
Taylor, 29, said: "We really couldn't have asked for more from our first performance this year.
"The dives were excellent, we may have been slightly out a couple of times but it's the little things that we can perfect."
Waterfield, 25, added: "It was hard for us to miss the Commonwealth Games but we are now looking forward and putting in our preparations towards the World Championships."
The closest competition was in the women's platform which Stacie Powell won with her final dive of the competition.
Tonia Couch was second, with Monique McCarroll in third place.
In the women's 3m synchro, Tandi Gerrard (Leeds) and Hayley Sage (Sheffield) comfortably claimed gold.
Elizabeth Heald and Joie McGroaty (Sheffield) claimed second place, with Sophie Clark and Charly Tomkys (Southampton) third.
Gerrard and Sage added the title to the bronze medal they won at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in March.
The men's 3m springboard final saw Tony Ally edge out Blake Aldridge.
Ally, Aldridge, Couch, Powell, Taylor, Waterfield, Gerrard and Sage all go on to represent Britain at the World Championships in Melbourne, which begin on 18 March.
