Rowing
The old Jersey-Carteret record had stood since 1992

St Malo men's fours won the 25th Gorey to Carteret Rowing Race in one hour 55 minutes, beating the previous record which had stood since 1992.

Simon John's Guernsey crew finished in second place with an impressive time of one hour 58 minutes.

Jersey's Aztec ladies' crew continued their good form, rowing to victory in two hours 19 minutes.

The men's pair race was clinched by Guernsey's Paul Isaacs and Joe Paul to deny Ian Blandin and James Ramsden.

Fifty-seven boats enjoyed the fabulous weather and near perfect conditions on Saturday.

Rowers will now have their sights set on the Jersey to Sark race which takes place in a month.
