Rob Cassin and Carl Clinton won their class in the Yukon River Quest, the world's longest kayak race.

Competing in the men's tandem kayak event the Jersey paddlers completed the 460 mile (742 km) race in 47 hours seven minutes.

The quest saw more than 240 competitors from around the world race from Whitehorse to Dawson City, in Canada.

Jersey's John Richardson and David Priddis were also competing and finished in 49 hours 32 minutes.

Entrants paddled non-stop apart from two compulsory rest stops totalling 10 hours.

Cassin, 49, and Clinton, 52, will share their experiences with schools in the island when they return from Canada.
