Jersey women to take on Atlantic
Rowing
Rowers Kiley Trehorel-Daley and Sarah Medland hope to be the first Jersey women to row across the Atlantic.

They will race 2,500 nautical miles from La Gomera, in the Canary Islands, to Antigua in December 2009.

The two women will row in continuous two hour shifts and expect to complete the Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race in 50 to 70 days.

Trehoral-Daley said that they were already in training and were "both up for a really good challenge".

They need to raise approximately 70,000 worth of sponsorship to take part in the challenge.
