| Saturday, 15 February, 2003, 17:02 GMT Omagh win Tyrone derby ![]() Roy McCreadie's side have struggled since November Omagh Town 1-0 Dungannon Swifts Paddy McLaughlin's 82nd minute winner settled this Tyrone derby and earned Omagh Town a place in the quarter-finals of the Nationwide Irish Cup. During a poor first half, Dungannon's defensive formation frustrated Roy McCreadie's side. The game improved considerably after half-time. Dungannon goalkeeper Niall Currie made two tremendous saves to deny Omagh's Andy Crawford. The visitors then received a major blow when Rodney McAree was sent off in the 65th minute after receiving his second yellow card. Despite that, the 10 men almost took the lead but Shane Coney's header was brilliantly scooped away by Omagh goalkeeper Gavin Cullen. McLaughlin headed home Colm McCullagh's corner to settle the match eight minutes from time. |
