It was an equalising goal from Curt Bowen in the 50th minute that secured the vital point on the road. The injury-ravaged Giants had slipped behind to a Dan Ceman goal after only 68 seconds when he burst on to a pass from Darren Hurley. Then with Dave Matsos in the penalty box, the resultant powerplay saw Scott Kirton's shot fly past goal-tender Colin Ryder in the 12th minute. But Matsos made up for his earlier absence to bag a goal back 14 seconds from the end of the first period. The Giants dominated the middle period and Colin Ward equalised after he had earlier hit the post. The Giants, however, slipped behind again in the 39th minute when Dave Struch fired home at the second attempt. With defeat staring them in the face, Bowen skated in to push home the equaliser. | See also: 29 Nov 02 | Other Sports 19 Nov 02 | N Ireland 10 Nov 02 | Other Sports Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top N Ireland stories now: Links to more N Ireland stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
