Belfast Giants came from two goals down to snatch a 3-3 draw with Nottingham Panthers at the National Ice Centre.

It was a far quieter affair than the last time the two sides met when referee Simon Kirkham handed out over 390 penalty minutes following a mass brawl after the hooter.

Dave Matsos drilled Belfast ahead in the 15th minute but four minutes later Marc Hussey levelled on the powerplay for the hosts.

Scott Allison (powerplay) put Panthers ahead midway through the second session and Jason Clarke doubled the advantage three minutes into the final period.

But Belfast rallied and Todd Kelman pulled one back before Matsos hit his second of the evening eight minutes from the end of regulation to earn a point for Giants.
