Cross and Enniskillen fancied

The AIB Ulster Club Football Championship picture should be a lot clear after Sunday's action at Crossmaglen and Clones.

Errigal Ciaran travel to south Armagh to face the three-times All-Ireland Champions in a quarter-final replay (1400 GMT) after producing a dramatic comeback last weekend.

Sunday's other game sees Enniskillen facing Eamon Coleman's Gowna at Clones in a semi-final tie (1430).

Without being disrespectful to the Fermanagh and Cavan hopefuls, the majority of interest will be focused on the re-match at Crossmaglen.

Errigal Ciaran looked dead and buried when eight points down midway through the second half at Healy Park but they summoned up tremendous resolve in the final quarter.

Peter Canavan had to be substituted during the game because of a knee injury but was re-introduced for the closing stages of the match.

Crossmaglen boss Oliver Short watched in disbelief as he side tossed away a big lead last week
Oliver Short: Crossmaglen manager

It's not yet clear whether the former Allstar will be fit to start Sunday's replay.

Crossmaglen's task will be to regain the composure which they showed during most of the match.

If Oliver Shortt's team can do that, they should complete the job at the second time of asking.

Enniskillen will go into Sunday's Clones clash as favourites after showing tremendous resilience to battle past St Gall's in the quarter-finals.

St Gall's led by seven points early in the second period but Seamus Doyle's team hit 10 of the final 11 scores to earn a deserved victory over the Antrim side.

Tom Brewster had a tremendous match against Gall's and he is certain to be closely watched by the Gowna defence.

Gowna also came from behind to defeat Clontibret in the previous round so they will be optimistic about their chances of qualifying for the Ulster Final.

Enniskillen manager Doyle is sure to have reminded his team of last year's campaign where many talked of them as likely Ulster Champions after an opening win over Crossmaglen only for them to slip up against Clontibret.

However, a repeat is unlikely on Sunday.
