Canavan still a doubt
Peter Canavan has won Tyrone and Ulster medals with his club Errigle Ciaran
Peter Canavan helped his side to a 2-9 3-6 draw
Errigal Ciaran's Peter Canavan could miss Sunday's Ulster Club Championship replay at Crossmaglen.

The Tyrone star injured a knee during the dramatic quarter-final draw in Omagh last week, and is now rated only 50-50 to be available.

The former All Star was flattened by a heavy Francie Bellew tackle in the first half and limped off.

However, he came back for the final few minutes of the game to help his side to steal a replay after they were eight points down with only 15 minutes remaining.

Manager Mickey Harte, however, says that it is too early to decide just yet.

''The leg has swollen around the knee, and is still very painful,'' said Harte, whose son Mark scored a goal and seven points in that drawn game.

''He will be getting further assessment of the injury once the swelling goes down.

''But hopefully it is just bruising, we just do not know.

''If the game was to be played tomorrow, he would have no chance.

''But we have a few days yet, so it just a case of keeping our fingers crossed.''
