All change for Antrim
Dinny Cahill makes whosesale changes for the trip; to New York
Manager Cahill is hoping to take Antrim up a gear
Antrim boss Dinny Cahill has made wholesale changes for Sunday's Ulster Championship semi-final in New York.

The Tipperary man has made no fewer than seven changes from the Antrim team that lost to Down in last year's Ulster semi-final.

Only three of the players retained by Cahill are named in the same position: goalkeeper DD Quinn, midfielder Conor Cunning and centre-half-forward Gregory O'Kane.

Priority

Cahill has taken the drastic steps after the defeat by Down meant that Antrim had failed to reach the Ulster final for the first time in 93 years.

Cahill arrived from Tipperary before Christmas and made genuine progress in the League despite losing to Laois in the Division Two final.

He has always stated that winning the Ulster Championship is the priority. From last year, the McCambridges and Elliotts are gone from the team sheet.

Cahill has replaced them with the likes of Karl McKeegan, Liam Watson, and Brian McFall, who did appear as a substitute against Down.

Of the players retained from 2001, Mickey Kettle and Kieran Kelly switch from the half-backs to the full-backs, and Ciaran Herron moves wings to take the number 7 jersey.

Jim Connolly reverts from the full-forward line to midfield, with Aidan Delargy going in the opposite direction.

Antrim: DD Quinn, M Kettle, K Kelly, E McCloskey, K McKeegan, R Donnelly, C Herron, C Cunning, J Connolly, L Watson, G O'Kane, L Richmond, A Delargy, P Richmond, B Mc Fall.
