King's Lynn Stars return to top of Premier League table
Lyon led the Stars to a Premier League treble in 2009
The King's Lynn Stars have returned to the top of the Premier League table with a convincing 60-35 victory over the Stoke Potters.
Australian Kevin Doolan top-scored for the Stars once again, leading the way with a 15-point maximum.
British Under-21 champion Joe Haines returned to the side after crashing out in the weekend's Knock Out Cup match.
Stars manager Rob Lyon told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It was a great performance from Joe, his best of the season."
It was the Stars' fourth consecutive win in the Premier League and they have now overtaken the Birmingham Brummies at the top of the table.
"From our point of view, the 60-point mark is healthy for us as a team and it puts that message out to the rest that we're there or thereabouts - providing we have no more major issues," Lyon continued.
The Stars are next in action in the Premier League at home against the Workington Comets on Wednesday, 2 June.
