Louis' team had lost their last four meetings before Eastbourne |
Ipswich Witches director of speedway Chris Louis is threatening to bring in new riders after a number of disappointing displays. The Witches overcame Eastbourne at home on Thursday but failed to take a maximum three point haul. Louis told BBC Radio Suffolk: "We are looking at our options. The riders know that as soon as we have options to move us forward we'll take them. "There are one or two out there but perhaps not in the ideal positions." Ipswich were 47-43 winners over the Eagles at Foxhall Stadium, with Scott Nicholls top scoring with 13 points. But Louis' side still find themselves one place off the bottom of the Elite League table. He added: "We're dropping points where we shouldn't and things have got to improve. "We can't afford now to let the gap get any bigger so there's definitely work to be done." Ipswich's next meeting is at home to bottom of the table Coventry on Thursday.
