Troy Batchelor will not be returning to ride for Swindon next season.

The 22-year-old Australian has told the Robins he wants to spend a year away from the club in 2010.

After a month on the sidelines with a wrist injury, Batchelor found himself dropped by Swindon last season with Matej Zagar taking his place.

Swindon co-owner Gary Patchett has told BBC Wiltshire they will not let him leave cheaply, with Ipswich and Peterborough thought to be interested.

Meanwhile, Swindon are hoping to complete the signing of two riders by the beginning of next week.

Adrian Miedzinski and Thomas Jonasson are being linked with a move to the Abbey Stadium.
