Ipswich Witches left it until their final league meeting of 2009 to notch up their first away win of the season on Monday. Solid performances all round helped the Witches edge out Belle Vue 52-44 in the Elite League relegation play-off. Team manager Pete Simmons was relieved but reflected on what might have been. "There's been lots of changes this year, and had the campaign started half way through, we would have been there or thereabouts at the end," he said.
