Eastbourne Eagles owner Bob Dugard says his retirement at the end of the season could spell the end of the club.

The 67-year-old, whose family have been connected with the club for generations, says a younger promoter is needed to keep the club afloat.

Dugard told BBC Sussex: "It's a real possibility but we have done this now so hopefully someone will come along and take it over."

"I have a full life anyway so to take it on was one step too far."
