Wozniacki plays Kimiko Date Krumm at Wimbledon, where she is ninth seed

Danish teenager Caroline Wozniacki warmed up for Wimbledon by winning the Aegon International in Eastbourne.

The 2006 Wimbledon junior champion overcame France's Virginie Razzano 7-6 (7-5) 7-5 on a chilly, overcast day on the south coast.

"It's my first title on grass so that means a lot to me," said Wozniacki, who is seeded ninth for Wimbledon.

In the men's final, Russia's Dmitry Tursunov beat Frank Dancevic 6-3 7-6 (7-5) to win his sixth career title.

"It's a great feeling. I suffered a bit in the second set, but now I feel great," said Tursunov.

"Last season I didn't play as many matches ahead of Wimbledon."

Wozniacki is regarded as a future star of the women's game and this was her fifth final of the year and her second title.

The Dane took the first set after 49 minutes, establishing a 6-1 lead in the tie-break before eventually taking it 7-5.

The breezy conditions did no favours to Razzano's unorthodox serve, and she was broken immediately in the second set.

The 26-year-old Frenchwoman fought back to make it 4-4 and then had a set point at 5-4 but netted a backhand.

Another backhand error from Razzano gave Wozniacki a chance to serve for the title at 6-5.

On her first match point, Wozniacki thought she had won the match with an ace, only for a late call to say the ball was out.

Both players saw the funny side, but Wozniacki regained her composure to close out the match four points later.

There was further amusement when Razzano forgot Wozniacki's name during her address to the crowd, but after regaining her train of thought the Frenchwoman conceded: "She's a great player."

Britain's Laura Robson was beaten in three sets by Portugal's Michelle Larcher de Brito in a youthful final at the Liverpool International tournament.

Robson, 15, went down 6-4 2-6 10-6 after a super tiebreak to her 16-year-old opponent.

Both players have been given wildcards for the main draw at Wimbledon, where Robson was girls' champion last year.
