Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki came through a tricky test against Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada to reach the final of the Aegon International.

The world number nine struggled for consistency on a very windy day in Eastbourne but won 3-6 6-4 6-4.

She will play Virginie Razzano, who led Marion Bartoli 6-4 1-0 when her fellow Frenchwoman retired with a leg injury.

In the men's semis, Frank Dancevic beat Fabrice Santoro and Dmitry Tursunov saw off Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.

Canadian Dancevic secured a 6-4 6-4 victory over Frenchman Santoro, whilst second-seeded Russian Tursunov was a 6-2 6-2 winner over Spaniard Garcia-Lopez.

"It was really difficult and I think we were both struggling a little bit, but we hung in there," said Wozniacki of her match.

"Virginie's playing really well on grass, I've never played her on this surface, but I'm so happy to be in the final and hope I can pull it through."

Bartoli, who reached the Wimbledon final in 2007, refused to shake hands with Razzano after pulling out of the first semi-final with a right quadriceps strain. Razzano had complained in a French newspaper that Bartoli often made a fuss over minor injuries to gain a mental advantage over opponents.

"What she said about me in the newspaper was not really brilliant, but I get that's the way she is," said Bartoli. "I could never say that about another player."

A tearful Bartoli added: "If it is a strain then there is not much chance I can play next week. The doctors can't yet say what the diagnosis is because it is too soon after my retirement so I need to wait until tomorrow and see."

Razzano had no regrets about her comments, saying: "She can stop any time in any match. If you stop to look at her because she has pain everywhere, she tries to make your concentration go down and you can't play because you are thinking what has happened.

"It's a disappointment for her but not for me because I am in the final. It's a good win for me because I have more energy for tomorrow."
