Karlsson does not trust Poole's poor form to continue at Monmore |
Teenage rider Joe Haines has been recalled to the Wolverhampton team to face Poole on Monday night after two riders pulled out through injury. Hynek Stichauer and Ty Proctor will both miss the Elite League meeting against the reigning champions. Australian youngster Proctor damaged his ribs riding for Redcar in the Premier League last week. Czech star Stichauer is just about fit to practice after recovering from neck and shoulder injuries. Poole have made a modest start to the defence of their Elite League title, including a 31-point home defeat against Coventry, although Wolves skipper Peter Karlsson is still wary of the Pirates' line-up. | It doesn't matter what happened last week, they will come to us looking for a good performance Wolves skipper Peter Karlsson on Poole |
"Poole have a team full of riders who can ride our place well," said the Swedish veteran. "It doesn't matter what happened to the last week, they will come to us looking for a good performance and we'll have to be on our toes." Wolves' home form has been splendid so far this year, dispelling fears of another relegation battle after their close shave in 2008.
