Tai Woffinden again impressed for Wolves with eight points |
Wolverhampton put some real pressure on Swindon in the Knockout Cup before going out by eight points on aggregate. Trailing by 21 points going into the second leg at Monmore Green, the home side won 53-40 on the night despite losing Nicolai Klindt to injury. He suffered a dislocated shoulder in his third ride of the evening, slowing Wolves' improbable victory charge. Skipper Peter Karlsson was in vintage form with 14 points, Grand Prix star Freddie Lindgren adding 12. Reserve Ty Proctor also turned in his most impressive performance in a Wolves uniform with 10 points, while teenager Tai Woffinden continued his consistent start to the season with eight. Jurica Pavlic spared Swindon's blushes, top-scoring with nine points, Leigh Adams and Ryan Fisher notching eight apiece.
