Karlsson has returned to Wolves this season as skipper |
Wolverhampton boss Peter Adams is hoping his team can force an upset when they visit Swindon in the first leg of their Knockout Cup tie on Thursday. The Robins are tipped for the top of the Elite League this season, while Wolves have a new-look team to bed in. "I can appreciate why the experts fancy Swindon so much, but it's down to us to do the business," Adams said. "We need to put in a good performance and give ourselves a chance when we get them back to our place." Adams was pleased with the effort put in by his team in the two-legged challenge match against the Coventry Bees last week, and is viewing the season with some optimism after last summer's relegation battle. "I was suitably encouraged by what I saw against Coventry but this is where it matters," he stressed. Wolves return to Monmore Green on Monday, 30 March when they host Lakeside in their opening Elite League meeting of the season.
