Lakeside Hammers will begin their bid to capture the Elite League title with an away trip to Wolverhampton Wolves.

The Hammers, who finished runners-up to the Poole Pirates in 2008, will travel to the midlands on Monday, 30 March.

Before that, they face Eastbourne in the Knockout Cup on 27 and 28 March and their first home league meeting is against Peterborough on 3 April.

The Hammers begin pre-season with a two-legged challenge with local rivals Ipswich Witches on 19 and 20 March.

For the second year in succession, the Arean-Essex Raceway will also host the British Under-21 final on Friday, 24 April.
