Lakeside Hammers have signed Phil Morris to share the reserve duties with Chris Mills and one other, as-yet-unnamed, rider next season.

Morris rode for the side at number eight in their previous guise, Arena Essex, in 2005.

Co-promoter Jon Cook commented: "His experience and track knowledge will help steady our reserve position at home and on trickier away circuits."

The Welshman will also continue to ride in the Premier League next season.
