Wolverhampton's hopes of signing Niels Kristian Iversen for next season have been hit with the news that the Dane is set to return to Peterborough. The 26-year-old was rider of the year in 2008 but could go back to his parent club after the Panthers changed owners. "Under the previous ownership we would've probably signed Niels by now," Wolves owner Chris Van Straaten said. "If we cannot sign him we wish him all the best. Niels was a pleasure to deal with and did a great job for the team." Van Straaten also confirmed the positions of three other Wolves riders have been clarified. David Howe is likely to join Premier League side Scunthorpe, James Grieves is to rejoin Glasgow and Magnus Karlsson has been put on the transfer list.
