Howe's future at Monmore Green is coming under serious scrutiny

David Howe returns to the Wolverhampton team at Peterborough on Thursday as the relegation play-offs draw closer.

Howe was left out of Monday's victory over the Birmingham Brummies in the first leg of the Midland Shield after a poor run of form.

"We have some big decisions to make going into some of the most important meetings of my time in the sport," said Wolves promoter Chris van Straaten.

"We don't want to be relegated and have to avoid that at all costs," he added.

"We have to decide with David what is the best course of action and we will continue in dialogue with him," van Straaten noted.
