Beattie will bolster Palace's attack

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of West Brom striker Craig Beattie on a month's loan.

Beattie has made 29 appearances for the Baggies since joining the club for �1.25m from Celtic in July 2007.

The 24-year-old made 65 Celtic appearances, including 43 as a substitute, scoring 16 goals.

Beattie told Palace's website: "I had a call from my manager to say that Palace wanted me and I was delighted to be getting the chance to have some games."

The Scotland striker had a loan spell with Preston last season.
