Lindgren believes Sweden can upset the form book on Sunday |
Wolverhampton captain Freddie Lindgren spurred Sweden through to the World Cup Final via Thursday's race-off on the Danish track at Vojens. Lindgren scored 14 points to carry his side through alongside Poland who pipped Great Britain for second place. The British line-up saw Wolves' teenage asset Tai Woffinden make his debut and he chipped in with nine points. "I didn't feel any pressure. I just went out there to enjoy it and it did the trick," said the 17-year old. "I really had a great night, it was just a shame we couldn't make it through." Former Wolves rider Daniel Nermark was also part of the successful Swedish team who will meet Poland, Australia and Niels Kristian Iversen's Denmark in Sunday's final. "I'm really enjoying this World Cup," Wolves skipper Lindgren said. "I'm feeling good and now I'm looking forward to a rest day before the final. I think we can do it."
