Swindon receive Batchelor boost

Swindon rider Troy Batchelor could be fit to return to action within the next three weeks.

The Robins star broke his elbow in a crash during a practice session in Poland last month and has been unable to ride ever since.

But Swindon boss Alun Rossiter is hopeful the Australian will soon be back on his bike.

"All being well I would envisage Batch returning for the away clash at Ipswich on 21 July."

Rossiter added: "Now the cast is off Troy is a lot happier in himself, his mood has significantly lifted and he is focussed on getting himself fit as quickly as possible.

"However, we won't be rushing him back into action and will monitor his progression closely, we don't want this to be a recurring injury so it must be 100% healed before Troy returns to competitive action."

Meanwhile Swindon's home meeting with Wolverhampton, which was rained off last week, will now be staged on Thursday 4 September.
