Batchelor faces four weeks on the sidelines after crashing in Poland (Les Aubrey) |
Swindon rider Troy Batchelor has fractured his elbow and is likely to be out of action for four weeks. The Robins star was taking part in a practice session in Poland when the accident happened. Manager Alun Rossiter told BBC Radio Swindon it is a massive blow for the rider and his team. "He's downbeat as he was due to compete in the Grand Prix qualifier. The rest of the boys are going to have to raise their game, big style," he said. "Troy has been under a little bit of pressure in Poland to go and ride over there because he hasn't been performing so well. "He was told he had to go over there and practice and unfortunately another rider cleared him out coming out of the first bend." Batchelor is likely to miss Elite League fixtures against Peterborough and Wolves for the Robins, as well as their Knockout Cup clash with Poole.
