Swindon's hopes of a ninth home win in the Elite League were washed out (Les Aubrey) |
Swindon's home meeting with Wolverhampton was abandoned without a race being run because of heavy rain. The Robins had hoped to open up a four points lead at the top of the Elite League before the weather intervened. Manager Alun Rossiter told BBC Radio Swindon it was particularly disappointing because they were expecting a large crowd. "There's a lot of people down here because of the Cardiff Grand Prix, so it's very frustrating," he said. "But we're very pleased with the way things have gone in June, we picked up another away win and now we've just got to keep things going."
