Swindon are back on top of the Elite League after an impressive 48-42 win at Peterborough on Monday night.

Mads Korneliussen was the Robins top scorer with a paid 15 points, while Leigh Adams and James Wright also reached double figures.

Manager Alun Rossiter told BBC Radio Swindon that the team's fourth away win of the season owed a lot to the Dane.

"Mads was pretty special," he said. "He was riding really well and it was great to see. But it was a good team effort."

Swindon were never behind throughout the meeting and Rossiter admitted that the condition of the Peterborough track seemed to play into their hands.

People keep telling me 'you look frail'. Well we can look as frail as you like but we're still top of the league.

"Every time we go there they seem to plough it up like a potato field," he said. "And it backfired on them because they've got Kenneth Bjerre coming back with a broken thigh.

"At the start of the season if you would have asked anyone whether we'd be top of the league they'd have laughed at you.

"People keep telling me 'you look frail'. Well we can look as frail as you like but we're still top of the league."

The result capped off a good day for Swindon, after a tribunal ruled they were allowed to keep the points they earned from a win at Ipswich earlier in the season.

The Witches had complained about the Robins' use of Joel Parsons as a guest, but their case was dismissed by the tribunal.
