Wolves promoter Chris van Straaten is set to shake up his team line-up for the second half of the season. With the Monmore club fighting to avoid the relegation play-offs in the Elite League, van Straaten is hoping to bring in at least one new face. "As a club we continue to pursue all avenues," he said. "But it's not easy trying to make wholesale changes with the riders' continental duties." Skipper Freddie Lindgren is expected to return soon after a rib injury. But the other riders in the Wolves line-up could be making their final home appearance in Monday's Knockout Cup tie against Eastbourne. The home team have to try to overturn a massive 32-point deficit after Saturday night's crushing 62-30 defeat in Sussex. "The Eastbourne meeting is one last chance for certain riders to show how much they want to stay with the club," said van Straaten. The Wolves promoter also revealed that former Cradley Heath star Erik Gundersen has recommended a rider to the club. Gundersen currently works with young Danish riders, and van Straaten has booked one of his proteges for the club's 80th anniversary meeting next Monday night (30 June).
