Lindgren says he will return as soon as he can handle the pain |
Wolverhampton will be without skipper Freddie Lindgren for Monday's clash with Poole in the Elite League after a crash in Denmark over the weekend. Lindgren, 22, fell during the Danish Grand Prix suffering a rib injury as he was thrown from his machine. The Swede is over a month away from a full recovery but says he will return as soon as he can "bear the pain". Wolves welcome back Dane Niels Kristian Iversen, 25, after three weeks out with a dislocated shoulder for the meeting. Wolves will use rider replacement to cover for the loss of Lindgren and team boss Peter Adams knows he will be missed. "It was always going to be a hard match but it's just got harder. "We're up against it but I expect us to go out there and give it everything we've got." Wolves are still bottom of the Elite League table and will be looking for revenge against Poole after losing in Dorset in their last meeting.
