Peterborough Panthers team manager Trevor Swales has said the team will have a new number eight for Monday's home and away meetings with Coventry. With Sam Simota, Kenneth Bjerre and Henrik Moller all injured the new rider looks set to feature regularly. Swales told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "It's true that we're after a new number eight. "I can confidently say you will see him on Monday but I won't say who it is until the ink is dry on the contract." Peterborough climbed off the bottom of the Elite League with a 48-42 win over Wolverhampton at the Showground on Thursday evening. Swales was full of praise for his captain Hans Andersen who scored 17+1. | Danny's showing his true potential again after a fortnight off Peterborough team boss Trevor Swales |
"It was nice to see Hans get some speed back," he said. "He's changed engines and let's just hope he can take this form in to the Swedish Grand Prix on Saturday." Danny King also received praise after he scored 14 points against Wolverhampton. Swales said: "Danny's showing his true potential again after a fortnight off. "It's the same time we had it [a fortnight] off as last year and that's when he turned it around." Panthers are next in action against Coventry on Bank Holiday Monday 26 May when they face the Bees home and away on the same day.
