Andersen expects the Panthers to improve this season |
Peterborough Panthers rider Hans Andersen has admitted he is feeling the pressure as captain as the side struggle in the Elite League. Panthers have not won away this season and a 19-month unbeaten home run came to an end with a 57-35 defeat against Poole at the Showground last week. Andersen told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Without a doubt this season is the most difficult I've had at Panthers. "We really need to start working as one unit to make it work." The Dane, 28, admits confidence is low at Peterborough with the side bottom of the Elite League table. "Of course some riders get knocked by the fans," he said. | We've never been able to ride well as a whole team on the same night. Panthers captain Hans Andersen |
"At the end of the day it's a job and if you're not enjoying what you're doing you don't really want to go to that job every day. "We've never been able to ride well as a whole team on the same night. "One night someone has a brilliant night and another night it's someone else but we've never been able to click at the same time." However, Andersen insisted the side could still turn around their form and qualify for the end of season play-offs. "It's still a long old season and everyone is taking points off each other. "I still think we can make it but we've got to make changes and get everyone firing."
