Batchelor signed for Swindon Robins in December 2007

Swindon Robins extended their lead at the top of the Elite League to three points with a 53-39 win at home to third-placed Arena-Essex on Thursday.

Troy Batchelor and Leigh Adams led the way for the Robins, Batchelor racing to a faultless 15-point maximum, while Adams was also paid for 15.

"In heat 15 I didn't make the start but I was just using my head a little bit," Batchelor told BBC Radio Swindon.

"The bike's really good and I'm happy with all my stuff so it's easy."

He added: "I just got my engine back from service and it's really good, I'm really happy with everything."
